In line with measures taken by local governments, the start of the clinical trial for PD-MIND has been postponed to later this year. Postponing the start of the trial will help with reducing traffic to and from the hospitals by staff and research participants. This will, in turn, contribute to halting the spread of the virus, and ensuring the safety of our staff and participants.
Many members of the PD-MIND team are currently working from home and performing tasks that can be fulfilled remotely. This sometimes requires shifts in activities, such as a prioritisation of writing and/or programming work, and switching from face-to-face meetings to virtual ones. We are actively exploring how we can ensure the further progression of the project, and secure a swift start of the clinical trial once the situation around the COVID-19 pandemic improves.
